Forest Forward is a nonprofit501(c) organization that partners with the community to drive equitable development, economic mobility, and improve outcomes for children, residents, and families of the South Dallas community.

Forest Forward was launched in 2020, and over the past year has experienced a wonderful period of growth and impact. We are hiring an experienced and solutions-driven Office Manager to support maintaining the core administrative functions that keep this work moving. From managing day-to-day office operations to coordinating procedures and resources, this role is essential to our organizational flow. The Office Manager also serves as a trusted point of contact and ambassador for Forest Forward, supporting collaboration across teams and with community partners.

The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of office management or administrative assistant experience, and a demonstrated track record of attention to detail, organization, efficiency, and discretion. This person will also be creative and enjoy working within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Assistant to the CEO with scheduling, task tracking, and special projects, along with other general administrative support needs.
  • Manage day-to-day office logistics including supplies, technology, vendor coordination, meeting support, and keeping things running like clockwork.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support departments with various tasks that include but are not limited to file organization, and light project management.
  • Help conduct research, organize materials, or prep presentations as needed across teams.
  • Help set up internal and community-facing events, whether it’s coordinating space, managing invites, or printing agendas.
  • Keep digital and physical files organized and accessible; help implement new tools or processes that improve efficiency.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various
  • competing demands and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response.
  • Be a positive, steady presence in the office, supporting team morale, celebration moments, and a strong organizational culture.

What You Bring

  • Ability to work with a diverse team and serve as a warm, professional point of contact
  • Tech savviness: Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Monday, Adobe, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with everyday office tools and a problem-solving mindset to keep operations seamless
  • Solutions-oriented approach: You take initiative and solve problems before they become roadblocks
  • A positive spirit with deep care about community impact

Skills and Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or related experience
  • 2+ years of administrative, office coordination, or office manager experience (nonprofit or arts-related a plus!)
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Compensation and Benefits

Forest Forward offers a competitive compensation package, with a salary range expected between $55,000-65,000, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and holidays.

Additional Information

This position will require evening and weekend work for 20% of the calendar year, in conjunction with major performances and other special events. As we aim to balance the benefits of in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work, the schedule for this position will entail working in the office from Monday-Thursday, with Fridays designated as flexible to allow for remote work from home.
