When you participate in our Text-to-Give campaign, we may collect your mobile phone number, text message responses, donation amount, transaction status, and other information you voluntarily provide. If you complete a donation, payment information may be collected and processed by our designated payment processor. We use this information to process donations, provide donation confirmations and receipts, administer the campaign, respond to inquiries, maintain financial records, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations. We may also use your information to communicate with you about your donation or the campaign in accordance with your consent and applicable law.
Text Messaging Consent and Communications
By texting the designated keyword to our campaign number, you consent to receive text messages reasonably necessary to facilitate your participation in the Text-to-Give campaign, including instructions, donation prompts, and transaction confirmations, as applicable. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your interactions with the campaign. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of making a donation through other available methods. You may opt out of future text messages by replying STOP and request assistance by replying HELP, where supported. After opting out, you may receive a final message confirming your request. Opting out of campaign messages does not affect the processing of a donation you have already authorized.
Disclosure of Information and Third-Party Providers
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the campaign, including Twilio for text messaging, payment processors for donation transactions, and technology providers supporting campaign administration, customer service, security, and reporting. These providers may process information on our behalf to perform their services, subject to applicable agreements and requirements. We do not sell or rent mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent records will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information associated with our Text-to-Give campaign. Payment card information is handled by our payment processor in accordance with applicable security requirements, and we seek to avoid storing sensitive payment card data in text messaging systems. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to administer donations, maintain financial and business records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable requirements.
